We spent the weekend doing various little things that added up to a good (long) weekend together as a family.
- Saturday we drove to Atlanta and visited with some of Aaron's family. It's always nice to make those connections and it is always worth the effort.
- Sunday we had an impromptu lunch with friends. So much fun to eat, chat, hang out, watch the kids wander around and just enjoy each others company. It made us realize that we have been in something of a social hibernation and it is time to come out.
- Monday I went with the boys and had breakfast and Chik-fil-A with friends. A special treat that encouraged me and helped me feel less lonely. Jeremiah and Nathaniel were supremely excited to each get a balloon.
- Monday we spent the day doing a few small projects around the house while the boys amused themselves in the yard. Now that we are trying to get our house on the market we are finally doing those small things that we have been intending to do for almost 7 years now! It really is amazing what a big difference a few small changes like a new mailbox and exterior storm door make.
We have a busy week ahead but we continue to be thankful for the small blessings that we see that add up to a big knowledge of God's love and care for us.
