Early Christmas gift!Our big purchase for Jeremiah is this new Leapster hand held game thingy (yes, that's the technical term, hee hee). We bought it in anticipation of our trip to the Netherlands this December and in anticipation of future trips. We introduced it to him this evening and will give him some time to get the hang of playing with it before our trip since the idea is that it will keep him occupied. The separate game cartridges that we ordered have not arrived yet so this evening he tried to play the game that is already on the Leapster. It required quiet a bit of hand eye coordination that he hasn't mastered yet - use the arrows to hop the bunny on the moving logs across the river. He was amused and entertained even though the bunny kept ending up in the drink. The other game on it is a coloring/drawing game. That was abit easier for him to do by himself. We are waiting for the LeapFrog Talking Words Factory which he already has on DVD and loves and the Thomas the Tank Engine cartridge that supposedly has a story book and games on it. We'll see how he does with those.
The reason we went with this system - I read that you can buy the game cartridges in different countries and languages and they will fit! We plan on picking up some Dutch games on our trip!
